HAPPY HALLOWEEN!  Right now most of the pumpkins on my block are hiding.  The rain has forced them inside.  Hopefully it will stop tonight.  Here are a few speed scraps happening in the next 2 days:

A New Kit by Me!

 

I survived the weekend!  (Well sort of.  I will be stuck in bed today, but I had an amazing time.)  I do have my new (and final) Design Quest kit to show you today, but before I get to it, I wanted to remind you that "A Not so Scary Halloween Night” and “My Little Star” will be no longer available after October 31st.  so if you are interested in grabbing them before they disappear just click the preview to download.

And now on to my new kit.  It is called Book Boat.  This week we had to get our inspiration from Europe.  So of course the first thing I thought of was buildings like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, etc.  But I knew that I would not be able to pull that off in a week.  So I pulled out some old photo albums.  My Mom was born in England, and our only trip over there came over 20 years ago.  As I was going through these pictures I found a picture of me in front of a boat.  It was a book store called the Book Boat.  Since I love reading, I knew I had found my inspiration.  Here is the kit I put together.  This week we also had to create a Quickpage, so I also have that for you to download if you wish.

We are preparing up here for Hurricane Sandy.  We should not get anything like what the US will be facing, but we are still expected to get high winds and rain.  If you are in an area that will be affected, I hope that you can stay safe.

Cup of Tea?

 

I survived 7 hours of scrapping!  I am helping out at a crop this weekend, so I have been busy sharing the fun of digital scrapbooking.  However, that means having to get up early to head back tomorrow.  (Am second guessing not just grabbing a hotel room)  Although coming home meant a faster internet connection!  So here I am.  I am posting this early, so if the items are up yet please be patient.

The Mad Hatter was Marieke’s inspiration for this new kit, and Cup of Tea? has turned out beautifully.  It is filled with everything you need for a tea party, but also has enough elements to great more masculine pages.  Here is the kit:

I don’t have a freebie for you today.  As I said the hotel internet service was pretty slow.  Well no pretty about it, it was slow.  However, if you head to Romajo’s Blog (Click HERE) she has a freebie for you there, she also has one in her newsletter, and you can find out the locations of the other freebies as well.  Before I go, I do want to show you the layout I did.  I used a template by AK Designs.

So now that it is 5am where I am, I am off to bed.  I have been busy working on my week 4 submission for the Design Quest 2012.  I am not sure if it is a good thing that everything thing is coming together pretty fast.  When I look back I have probably spend 12 hours on it already.  Maybe that is why I forgot Tuesday.  Well that is going to be my excuse this week!  At least you still have lots of time to check out what is on sale.

My Little Star

 

Happy Saturday.   As promised I am posting my latest entry from Design Quest 2012.  This week 3 of our papers, and all 8 of our elements had to include stars!  So as I was thinking I came across some new photos of my great niece Kailey.  She is such a cutie, and was my inspiration for this kit.  (She is the one in the layout!)  It is called My Little Star.  You can download it for free over at Scrapping Fairytales.  (Just click the preview to go to my gallery post with the link to download it.)  It will be available until October 31st.  Feel free to leave a comment, and I would love to see anything that you create with it.

What a Hoot Freebie

 

Hi everyone.  I know that I am normally quiet on Fridays, but I have played with a new kit and even created a freebie for you.  This is the kit that I used.  It is called “What the Hoot” by Arts and Ains Designs.
