First surgery able to remove mass, however had to go in for emergency second surgery because of bleeding. Then following second surgery air got trapped in abdominal cavity .. result she swelled up like she is 9 month pregnant. Than Sat. vital signs unstable, severe pain and she is given 4 units of blood. Sunday continued pain, swelling ... antiboitic changes. Monday able to get her up in chair for 2 hrs. Today she collapsed when they attempted to get her up because she so very weak. Try to keep telling myself she's 83 years old. To add to my frustration, my mother is refusing to allow me access to being able to talk to doctor/nursing staff. I am so mad/worried at her at the same time. Doctor says she is stable. I am flying there on April 19th. Step-father keeps telling me she's okay, but that she doesn't want me or my brother there. She won't talk on the phone to either of us (her kids). Don't have to worry about my brother because he is recovering from surgery himself... that just happened on the same day. My family is going to give me a stroke before this is all over. SueSue - aka Olive Reedfilter (fairy name)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01007537768155435918noreply@blogger.com
