Another Tuesday is here.  And of course that means new sales over at Stuff to Scrap.  I am going to just jump right in and show you. 

Mommy Me Time Scrapper has Penguin Palooza as well as the Penguin Palooza Quickpages.  Arn’t these penguins adorable?  I have loved this kit for a while, and finally had a chance to scrap with it.  Below is one of the layouts I did, as well as a little freebie for you.

Here is a layout I created with this kit.  I used the blues and tans to create it, and the puzzle pieces to create a mask for my photo.

I am off to a day long “educational” meeting.  Sounds fun doesn’t it?   Oh and to make it better, it is suppose to be –25C (approx –13F) with the wind chill.  Did I mention that my car doors were freezing shut when it was 25 degrees warmer?  It might be time to bring out my heavy duty winter jacket.  (Picture really sad face here!)  So while I am stuck at a meeting all day (without internet!) Rewards Card

 

Kimberly, of Leaving a Legacy Designs, is offering a rewards program.  Instead of trying to give you all the details, I have copied what Kimberly herself said on her blog.  If you have any questions, her email address can be found at the end of this post.  Here is all of the information:

I have been working on this all month and it is finally ready!  There are so many of you buying in my store that I thought it would be a good idea to reward those purchases.  Do you get those crazy punch cards when you go to stores and for every so many purchases you get a discount or something free?  I have created a virtual punch card for you.  For every $5 you spend in my store you get a “punch”.  When you have spent $60 in my store you will get a $6 coupon toward your next purchase.  Simply fill in the spaces on your card with the invoice/order number and date of purchase.  When your card is full, send it to me via email.  I’ll verify your purchases and send you a coupon for $6 in my store!  As an added bonus, any purchases since January 1, 2013 or later count toward your card!

Right click on the card and save it to your computer…

Here’s a few examples of how it will look:

• What if you spend $9.87? Put the invoice number in one $5 box or spend a little more to get to $10 and fill in two $5 boxes
• What if you spend $12.50? Put the invoice number in two $5 boxes
• What if you fill out your card? AWESOME! Email it to me for your $5 code. Then start a new card so & start filling out another one!

Some “fine print” you’ll want to pay attention to:

• Invoices must be dated on or after 01-1-2013. (Yep, this card is retroactive … to a point. You can count any purchases you’ve made since the beginning of the New Year)
• You are responsible for completing your own reward card.
• You can’t round up. So, if you spend $9.59 in my store, you can only put your invoice number in a $5 box, not 2 $5 boxes. (So you might just want to bump that total up over $10 so you can get your reward faster.)
• You many only use one invoice number per box. (So invoices have to total at least $5 to be able to count them on your rewards card.)
• You can’t count the total before any discounts (’cause that’d be cheating, lol). Go by the final total — the amount you paid for Leaving a Legacy Designs products.
• Offer subject to change at any time. (I don’t plan to change it … but you never know what could happen in the future, so I’m just adding this “cover-my-butt” statement, just in case.)

Blue Monday

 

Many people consider this coming Monday, Blue Monday.  It is considered the most depressing day of the year.  I don’t know about you, but I can certainly see why.  The holidays are over, the days in the northern hemisphere are short, the bills from December are coming in, and the newness of new years resolutions are over.  

Romajo has designed a mini kit inspired by this day.  It is not all blue though.  She wanted to make sure that there were a few happy tones too.  Here is her mini kit:

 

Snow gives me the blues.  We have had a mild winter so far, and I am okay with that.  I found this photo of my Mom back from 2008.  The snow was so high, you could almost walk down the sidewalk without being seen!

Be Mine, Valentine

 

Katie of Katie Creates just loves Valentines Day, and is releasing one of her valentines kits today.  Be Mine, Valentine is in the store, and you can get it for 30% off until January 24th.

An Innocent Heart

 

Mye De Leon is a digital scrapbooking designer among other things.  December 27, 2012 she gave birth to a baby boy, Alphonse.  Unfortunately his birth also brought some sadness.  They were told he had a hole in is heart chamber, and needed open heart surgery.  Simply things like crying and eating are putting such strain on his little heart.  The problem is that they do not have the money for this operation, and only have until the end of January to raise the money.  All $12,500 of it.  (estimated)  If you would like to read more of their story, you can find it on her blog HERE.

Today a new collaboration is being put into stores.  Over 100 designers have come together to create this MEGA kit.  (I think that is an understatement!)  It is close to 1.5 GB and contains 216 papers, 508 elements, 11 alphas, 16 (12x12) templates, and a 20 page mini book template.  All proceeds from this collaboration will go directly to Mye De Leon, and help her son with a life changing surgery.  This kit is only available until the end of January.   It is so big that there are several previews.  I am only going to show you the main one, but more detail previews can be found in the store.  The preview is linked to the store Pixels and Company, where it is being sold.

$2 Tuesday at Stuff to Scrap–January 15, 2013

 

It’s Tuesday!  I think I am typing that more for me than you.  I really thought that it was Monday for the last hour!  The weather here is getting cold again. (sad face)   So much so that I could only open 3 out of 4 car doors last night!  Not a good sign.  I was meeting a friend at the gym.  Can I just say that at 5pm on a Monday the gym is PACKED!  A line of cars waiting for parking spaces was how we were greeted.   Then we went in to find every treadmill, elliptical, and all but 1 bike in use.  Needless to say we didn’t stay long.  Instead we went to the mall to walk around.  Much less crowded. 

It’s Tuesday.  Hopefully by the time I tell you all about the great deals, I will remember that fact.  Today I am going to start with MDK Scraps.  She has put her Birthday Girl, Birthday Girl QPs, on sale.  This kit is perfect for those birthday girl photos at any age. Flora’s Secret

Romajo has a new kit out today.  It is called Flora’s Secret.  It was inspired by a song by Enya of the same name.  If you are interested, you can find the song HERE (from YouTube), or just the words HERE.


My garden was the first think I thought of when I seen this kit.  I couldn’t help but smile when I found these photos of my cat.  He is an indoor cat.  Can you tell?  Any chance he got he would be outside.  He didn’t care for touring the neighbourhood, or catching the birds and squirrels, but would be found getting comfortable in the soil underneath some flowers.  A truly peaceful spot.

Just Chill

 

Do you have snow where you are?  Or are you dreaming for some to come?  Personally, the snow can stay away.  We have been having warmer weather with the sun out, and I don’t want that to disappear again into the gray of winter.  But there is an upside.  If it snows, I don’t feel bad about staying inside and scrapping!  Leaving a Legacy Designs has put a new kit into her store.  It is called Just Chill.  I love that she created the seal, penguin, polar bear and igloo herself and are truly unique.  Plus they are cute!

I found some pictures back from 2008.  We definitely had snow that year.  We were running out of places to put it, while still keeping the sidewalks, and cars cleared.

I missed out on a crop last night, thanks to the weather, and the pain.  Between the glare of the rain, and the fog, it just wasn’t safe for me to drive.  I am so sad.  The good news is that I have nothing planned for today yet.  So scrapping here I come.  hmmm maybe I will have breakfast first.  What are you up to today?

CT Call for Leaving a Legacy Designs

 

Leaving a Legacy Designs is looking for a few good scrappers! Requirements are 2 layouts and a quickpage for each kit (typically 2 kits a month). If you can't make a quickpage don't let that stop you...we can work on that small detail. I am looking for scrappers that love my designs and want to share that love with others through their amazing layouts.
