Bunny Hop

Romajo has a new release just in time for Easter.  Bunny Hop is filled with lots of Easter things, Easter eggs, and several bunnies, but there are also other baby animals (lamb, chick etc.) and flowers so that you can use this kit for more than just your Easter layouts.  Here is the kit, as well as the bundle:

Someday

I am so happy that it is Friday.  I have spent so much time in doctors waiting rooms that I have almost finished crocheting a 24 inch tall stuffed animal.  (Just the eyes, ears and nose left)  Any guesses on what it might be?

I am so proud of myself tonight.  I got not one but 2 scrapbooks uploaded and ordered tonight.  One of them has been almost done for about 3 months, and the other is one I started only a few weeks ago.  I can’t wait to get them.  One of them is for a friend’s daughter.  I had made one of her birthday party last year, and about a week before her birthday she came up and said that she really liked that book and if I could do another one this year.  Well who can say no to that?  I certainly can’t.  I can’t wait to watch her getting it.

Have a great Saturday,

Framed

Have you ever caught someone in the act of doing something they shouldn’t be doing?  Or maybe set up to take the fall for something you didn’t do?  Well Kimberly of Leaving a Legacy Designs has used this, and the story of the Three Little Pigs, for her inspiration in creating this new kit.  You can find it and the quickpages both for 30% off this weekend.  Here it is:

previewLLD_FRAMED_QPPREVIEW

When my oldest nephew was younger (age 4 or 5) he discovered a song about the wolf of the three little pigs trying to gain your trust so he could walk with Little Red Riding Hood to grandma’s house.  In this song they actually howled.  Well Cody thought that it was the coolest thing.  So we would listen to it three of four times a day. (while he was at Grandma’s House!)  So I created these two pages to capture that memory.

I will have 2 other kits to show you today.  As always I am amazed at how much variety there is.  I had the opportunity to paper scrapbook this week, and it just is not the same.  Yes I miss the getting messy and being hands on, but I can get that in so many other places that I don’t get into it the same as I used to.  I am still trying to decide if that is a good thing.  I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

When it Rains

I don’t know about you, but I am waiting for spring.  I am ready for some colour.  But spring also brings rain (no more frozen stuff! And yes it is snowing here tonight.)  I remember as a kid I loved jumping in puddles with my rain boots on.  It was so much fun.  And while I have not continued doing that as I have grown older there is still something special about standing in the rain.  Katie Creates newest kit is here to help with all of those special memories.  I couldn’t believe that I had no pictures of anyone playing in the rain.  I guess between trying to keep the camera dry, and having too much fun it was just forgotten.  I have however caught the raindrops on plants in my garden after it rained, so I created a layout about it.

Here is When it Rains:

Dive into Easter

With Easter being a week away, Mommy Me Time Scrapper and The Scrappy Kat have teamed up to make an entire new kit, Dive into Easter.  This kit uses the same colour palette as Dive into Spring, so they can be used together seamlessly.  But don’t think that Dive into Easter is small.  It really is a full kit.  Take a look:

I actually made two pages with this kit.  I have had so many Easter decorations over the years, that I created two pages of some of them.  I also have a frame freebie for you that you can download by clicking on the preview below

Luck of the Irish - Participation PrizeArts and Ains Designs - Luck of the Irish - Tradition(Template: SO February Blog Template by Scrapping with Liz)

I created my layout about a tradition I had with my Grandmother.  The journaling reads:  St. Patrick's Day was never really celebrated or paid much attention to, except when I was at my Grandmothers.  Since it always fell during March Break it meant that I never had school, and quite often would be spending some of my time with my Grandmother in Fergus.  It quickly became an unspoken tradition.  If I was there, we would make cupcakes and decorate them in shamrocks or just make them green.  Once we were finished we would put them into a container and head out to some of her neighbours (Especially to Mrs. McCarthy and Mrs. Pride house.)  We would share our cupcakes with them.  Since her passing I had never gave it another thought until this year.  Maybe it is time to start it again.

Before I go I would like to share one of my favourite Irish Blessings

“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”

Feelin’ Green? Waiting for those Spring Blossoms?

I have two new kits to show you today.  One will have you Feelin’ Green, and the other will have you waiting for those spring blossoms to appear.  But enough teasing, lets get to them:

MDK Scraps has always wanted to create a St. Patrick’s Day kit, and this year she did it.  It is an oversized mini with lots of symbols of St. Patrick’s Day.   I don’t usually do much for this day anymore, but I will talk more about that another day, so I was looking for a picture(s) to scrap.  I found this one of the giant hedge at Butchart Gardens.  I love that I was able to create a non themed layout with this kit.

Also in honour of this day MDK Scraps is having a sale!  It has just started and runs until March 18th.

Katie Creates is releasing Spring Blossoms today.  (It may not be up yet at the time I am posting this since it is very early in the morning!)  With a kit called Spring Blossoms I had to put a ‘blossom’ on my layout.  This amarillo was a Christmas present which is now it bloom.  The perfect thing to brighten those gray days!  As always you can find this kit for 30% off until March 21st.
