I have just discovered something.  My birthday is in less than a week!  Eek.  My age really doesn't bother me, and I have been saying I was 33 for the last year now (Even though I was 32) so I am well practiced.  But then I found out that it is Suff To Scrap's 3rd birthday in May as well.  And you know what that means, lots of party theme fun!  Check out the flyer, and stay tuned, I will try to fill you in as I learn more.

Are you ready to see that kit??  Romajo's Scraps is based in the Netherlands, and in just a few days and it is 'Koninginnedag' ('Queensday'), their National Holiday to honor our Queen and the Royal Family.  In celebration of that Romajo's Scraps has created a huge kit called Royal Celebration.   If you don't celebrate this holiday, please take a look at this kit anyways.  It is full of Red, Blues and Whites, and can be used for holidays, and patriotic layouts, and it even works great with photographs of children.  So without further reading here is the kit:

And here is what I have created using this kit:

And it even gets better.  Right now she has this freebie on her blog just for you.  Just click of the image to go to her blog.

If you liked the layout of that last page, Romajo's Scraps has a new template pack out as well.  Take a look:

And here are the two layouts I made using these templates;

You have already seen this one, but I wanted to show you again

Used Sunshine Girl by Flergs and Zoe Pearn

So what a day of New kits!  I hope everyone is gearing up (inter)National Scrapbooking Day!

So I have some news for all of you.   I am a little late posting this, but over the past week, I have been asked to join Marieke's creative team, over at Romajo Scraps.  This is my first time on a CT, and I have been so excited.  I am going to highlight a kit she released with the opening of her store earlier this month, and if you continue down below, you will see some sneak previews for some new releases.

The first kit that I would like to highlight is Dear Deer.  It is a great kit for any Bambi loving people out there, but is also great for other uses.  I love that tree!  The following picture is linked to her page.

And here is what I have made with it so far.   I loved playing around with this kit.  Everything works so well together.

I do have two more pages that I want to post for you to see, but I will have to save that for my post tomorrow!  (I mean I can't show you everything all at once, that would be no fun!

Romajo's Scraps also has this freebie on her blog that coordinates with this kit. The pictures on these brads are amazing, and the Bambi paper can add the perfect touch.  (The image is linked to her blog)

Another CT Member, Annet, has also made a freebie which can be found on her blog. (Image is linked to her blog.)

Please remember to leave some love.

And on to the previews!!!

This kit will be released on April 28th.   Just in time for the National Holiday in the Netherlands.  Oh.... and the best part is yet to come.   She is having a contest on her blog, for the chance to win this mega kit FREE!   Whats better than that.   So click HERE and Good Luck.

This kit will also release on the 28th, and of course I am going to be mean, and only give you a sneak peek of it as well.

So don't forget to go to Marieke's Blog, at Romajo's Scraps, and leave a comment for the chance to win.  Then come back to see me on the 28th, to see these kits in their entirety.

Two weeks ago, My Mom, my friend Paula, and myself had a terrific night of good food, and then we went to watch The Hunger Games.  I was the only one out of the three who had read the books, and was sort of mean and only told them that 24 people were going to be fighting until one is left standing.  I couldn't think of another way to give them the idea of the movie without giving anything away.  (And also to let them know that there will be violence in the movie --- although realizing after the fact that it was rated pg, well I really didn't have to worry too much about it.)   We all had a great evening, and all really enjoyed the movie.   Here is a two page spread I did about our trip.   Please note that I do not own the rights to the photos of the movie.

For this layout I used Movie Time by A-Manda Creation, which just so happens to be on sale for only $1.50!   (she also has bundles and more goodies to go with it.)  The image is linked to her personal store.

I created my own background papers out of a picture of a forest.

I have a birthday party to go to for a beautiful 4 year old, tomorrow, so that is all from me for now,

My Mother is visiting for 7 weeks, and while I love having her here, I have noticed that I have less time to scrapbook.  She is visiting my sister for a few days, so I have done a few layouts.  I have come across some cute word art done by Grands9Creations, and I had immediately thought of my Nephews.  However tonight went I started with them, things went in a different direction.   Here is what I scrapped.

I used the "Can you talk to the animals" wordart from grands9creations, which you can find here.   Along with her beautiful word art, I used a collaboration between The Scrappy Kat and Mommy Me Time Scrapper, called Who Built the Ark.

On this layout I got my inspiration from the original word from Grands9Creations.  I just loved the idea of the animals trying to find out what we wrote about them.  So inspired by that I wrote up a letter of caution about my cat.  (who in fact was over 30 pounds, and would actually sleep on my chest.)  Here is the link to the wordart -- in which both are free!  For the rest of the layout, I used a kit called Rocky Paws by Digilicious.  This was the first digital kit I bought (December 2011), and still love using it.   As of the time of this post, she has the bundle on sale for 65% off.

The wind is howling outside, so I am off to curl up and watch a movie.

I just wanted to apologize for being MIA since last weekend.  My Mom is visiting for a few weeks, and my Sister is in the hospital with pneumonia, so my scrapbooking time has been almost non existent!  (Although I am taking lots of pictures!)

I did however have the time to create a new desktop for April, so I thought I would share that with you.  I used a kit called Dip Splatter and Roll by Keystone Scraps.  And the cross and vine from the DAD series, Wise Men Still Seek Him by RA Studios. (I linked this to the forum, as there are 5 parts still remaining in this series, which will be posted over the next few months. So I am hoping that you can see it without having to log it)  And it features some of the spring flowers that are in full bloom.  Normally we still have snow, so it was a great change to have a yard full of beautiful flowers, and green grass!

Until next time,

I just wanted to wish everyone out there that is celebrating, a Happy Easter.   It was 10 years ago at the Easter vigil that I was baptized into the Catholic faith.  Boy time sure flies.  I used STS March blog train - A Hint of Spring to create my layout.

And here it is:

Now I am off to visit with my family, and I might even find a few bunny trails.

April Already?

Is there anyone else out there that is wondering where this year has gone?  It seems like it was just Christmas, yet when I look on my calendar it is Easter that is looking back at me.  The saying "April Showers bring May Flowers" has recently popped into my head, however when I look outside all of the "May" Flowers were appearing in March!  I live in southern Ontario, and we are finally now getting seasonal temperatures.  Two weeks ago we were breaking records on a daily basis for the highest temperature.  I am curious if April will still be filled with "showers" or if in the future we will need to pen a new saying.

Here is a layout I did for a challenge at Stuff to Scrap.  The template was provided by AmyDane Designs, and I used Abby by Scraps N' Pieces to fill it in.  It shows some of my spring flowers that don't want to wait until May.
