Worldwide Christmas Scrapbooking Freebies ending

I hope that you have survived the holidays.  I found myself feeling guilty about having power when so many in neighbouring towns have none.  Not only is Christmas a busy time for me, but I also have 5 birthdays to celebrate within two weeks around Christmas!  It is CRAZY!  I sometimes wonder how I can keep things straight.  (Or maybe I just get lucky)

I am quickly popping in today to remind you that if you haven’t grabbed my freebie, Snowy Christmas, you will want to grab that.  It will only be available until the end of 2013!  Also remember to check out all of the other freebies HERE.  To go to my post with the download links, simply click on the preview below.

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 11

It is the day before Christmas Eve.  Everything out side is glistening.  The freezing rain does make everything look beautiful, if only it wouldn’t break all of the tree limbs.  Since it is slippery outside, I have a nice restful day today.  There are a few gifts I need to finish wrapping, but I think it will be a day curled up reading.  There are not many Christmas books that I like to reread but the books by Richard Paul Evans are the exception.  The first book I read was The Christmas Box (part of The Christmas Box Trilogy) after I seen the movie on TV, but there are so many good ones, Finding Noel, Promise Me, The Gift, Grace…okay I could continue, but I won’t!  Do you have any Christmas books you enjoy reading?  Do you read The Night Before Christmas?

Today it is my turn again!  I got to work with P12 November in creating this freebie for you.  I hope that you like it.  Simply click on the preview below to start the download.

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 10

I have decided I better post this early since we are under warnings for an ice storm, and I don’t know if I will have power later.  Today, I am curious if you are ready for Christmas.  Are you someone who has everything organized and done; Or are you someone who doesn’t think about it until…. well…. now?

We are up to P12 October in our 12 Days of Christmas.  There are only two more days after today!  Lisa has todays freebie.  Click HERE to fly on over to her blog.  Here is a look at P12 October.  You can find it on sale for 50% off today (Sunday) only.

Gabriel’s Message and Robin Home

Marieke has been busy designing the past couple of weeks, and has two new kits releasing in her store today.  First up is Gabriel’s Message.  It was inspired by the song of the same name by Sting.  She also has a set of extra papers available, filled with distressed and glitter papers.  You can find both pieces on sale for 50% off!

Romajo - Gabriels Message - Peace Hope Love

Next up is Robin Home (for Christmas)  Filled with cute little birds all set for winter.  I love the hats on them, and the Christmas lights and tree add the perfect Christmas touch.  You can also find it on sale for 50% off.

When I seen this kit I was reminded of a Christmas song that was played often, Christmas is for the birds by Conway Twitty.  So I wanted to use that as my title.  So I started going through pictures and discovered that I don’t have any good ones of birds in the snow, so I started looking elsewhere.  I found this picture of one of my Christmas ornaments.  It is a snowman all bundled up holding a wreath with a bird in it, as well as a second in his hand.  So with my title and picture and kit in hand, this is how my layout came together.

Christmas Joy

Katie of Katie Creates had taken some time off to be with family, but is back designing and has a new Christmas kit releasing today.   When I saw the elements in Christmas Joy I was instantly reminded of Christmases growing up.  I had similar elements that we hung up every year.

Christmas Joy

And while I wasn’t able to find any pictures of them, I did find some inspiration when I found this picture of my cat.  He loved Christmas.  He loved biting the tree, and taking off any ribbons and bows we put on the presents, and loved batting the ornaments that he could reach on the tree.

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 7

I have to admit staring out into the snow I wouldn’t mind having a few July days.  I am weird, I like the snow, just not if I have to walk or drive in it.  Its not too much to ask for it to avoid the roads and sidewalks is it?  Todays freebie was made from P12 July, and it can be found over on the Romajo blog.  I have linked the preview of the freebie to her blog, and the kit preview is linked to her store.

See you tomorrow,

Merry N Bright

Mommy Me Time Scrapper and Triple J Designs have worked together to bring you Merry N Bright.  This kit is full of embellishments from snowmen and Santa Claus to candy canes and angels, all in fun bright colours.  You can find it on sale right now, but I am not sure for how long.

I have been reminded of my love of snowmen this year, and here is another layout featuring some.  I love how this kit brightens up the photos and adds a touch of whimsy to them.  I also took my border and turned it into a freebie for you.  There are two versions of this freebie, both shown on the preview.

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 6

I have been thinking about Christmas movies tonight.  Someone asked me what my favourite one was.  And in all honestly I don’t know.  Don’t get me wrong, there are some that I absolutely must see like It’s a Wonderful Life (the original), White Christmas, and one that may see odd with an adult with no children, but I have to watch Christmas Eve on Sesame Street.  (This one has been a tradition for over 30 years and had Mr. Hooper of Mr. Hoopers Store was also in it.)  But I don’t know if I could pick one.  How about you?   Do you have a favourite?

We have reached the half way point.  What do you think of the freebies so far?  Honestly.  Feel free to comment on a blog post, or send me an email at

Today we are travelling back to Lisa’s blog.  (No we really didn’t plan on sending you to the same blog two days in a row, it just seemed to work out that way!  You can click HERE to find the freebie that Lisa has for you.  And here is P12 June:

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 5

So I spent all day yesterday thinking that it was Tuesday.  And to be truthful my brain is still not wanting to believe it was Monday even after seeing the calendar, on the weather channel, on the radio!  Have you ever had a day like that?  Or one where you were running a day behind?

You will often find Lisa posting on the Romajo facebook page.  She loves posting and letting you know about all of the goodies and sales that are available.  Her blog is also the home of todays freebie.  Its a surprise thought.  Click HERE to go to her blog to pick it up.  Here is the kit she used, P12 May.  (As a reminder the featured kit is on sale for 50% off for one day, the day that it is featured.)

Have a good TUESDAY  (I hope I still think it is Tuesday after I wake up!)

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 4

So I had to go to Walmart yesterday.  I grabbed what I went in there for, and decided to check out the Christmas section, and the craft area.  While in the craft area I met a wonderful lady.  I had offered my help in getting a picture frame that was up too high.  It was one of those big ones that hold about 10 pictures.  She explained to me that she has 69 grandchildren and great grandchildren.  I was shocked.  She was looking at the frame and explained that this one frame would not come hear to holding all of the photos that she has, but it was a start.  I thought of the love that she has for her family, and the evidence of their love in her as she talked about them.  That is one of the simplest gifts you can give, but it holds so much.

So I just wanted to say to make sure you print out your pages, albums, even just prints.  Show them (whomever they are) that you care and treasure these moments.

For Day 4 we are heading back to Marieke’s (Romajo) blog again today.  You might also be interested in taking a look at her facebook page.  (Click HERE)  She currently has at least one freebie there.  (A fan freebie, not one that is a part of the 12 Days of Christmas.)

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 3

We have SNOW!  I am not sure how I will feel about that, but right now I am enjoying a cup of Hot Chocolate and watching the snow fall outside.  It is so pretty.  I am hoping to get some photos taken tomorrow when the sun comes up.  How is your weekend going?

Marieke, the designer behind Romajo has today’s freebie.  Just like yesterday I have linked up the preview of the freebie directly to her blog to make it easy for you.  Also remember to leave some love.  Everyone did an amazing job.  ** I just found out that she is going to put the featured P12 kit on sale for 50% off!  How nice of her!

Christmas was never boring when my Nephews were around.  Here we took a break putting up the tree and were throwing ribbon around.  (Where we ended up with ribbon when only the tree box was open I don’t remember, but it was a lot of fun!)  I also have Decembers cluster freebie for you.  You can start the download by clicking on the flyer below.

Romajo’s 12 Days of Christmas–Day 2 & P12 December

So I was stupid yesterday.  First a little back information.  I have 5 birthdays (all close relatives and friends) plus Christmas from now until the 27th.  Plans have not been confirmed, but there will be stuff going on.  So me thought I should clean up a bit.  It started with one room, than two, then if I walked into another room something caught my eye and I did that.  By the time I had finished everything I started (and because I shouldn’t leave dust bunnies on the floor if I want them to go away!) I was in tears.  So I am paying for it today.  I can barely move.  Since I deal with chronic pain on a daily basis, I know I need to be careful not to overdo it, but at the same time if I feel well enough to do it, then I don’t want to stop.  I am thankful that today I don’t have plans!  It will be a day of resting.  Have you ever done something that you know you shouldn’t be doing, but you just have to do it anyways (doesn’t have to be cleaning related)?

Before I talk about todays 12 Days of Christmas freebie, I wanted to let you know that P12 December is now available in Romajos store.  It is currently on sale for 50% off!  Here it is:

P12 December

Since I don’t have many photos yet from this year, I went back about 7 years, and found these playful pictures of my nephew.  I can’t remember how we ended up with that much ribbon when the only box that was open was the Christmas tree, but it turned out it wasn’t just the cat that was enchanted by it.  I also have December’s cluster freebie for you.  (note this is not part of the 12 Days of Christmas freebies, see below for todays)

Glam Christmas

Leaving a Legacy Designs has teamed up with Queen Wild Scraps to create a Glam Christmas.  It has just the right amount of sparkle and shine to make this a very elegant kit.  You can find it on sale for 50% off until next Thursday.

I actually made two layouts with this kit yesterday, and they are quite different.  One is about my love of snowmen and realizing how much I love the no snow ones!  The second is a black and white photo taken of the house my Grandparents lived it when my Father was born.

Dive into Thanksgiving

How was your week?  Mine has been okay.  I had to get to Walmart, and figured a Tuesday afternoon would be the best time to go.  Lets just say that I overheard some of the employees saying that they couldn’t believe all of the cars in the parking lot!  I was in no rush, so I just slowed down and watched all of the busyness around me, heard off the the talk of presents yet to get, and just had to smile.  Growing up we had a habit of getting everything done by the first week in December.  (except food and such)  It meant that we were never stressed or in a rush to finish our lists.  I still love that.  I love not caring if the line ups are too long, thankful that I can slow down and smile and truly enjoy the Christmas season.

Being thankful has been something that we have been thinking about lately, and I am sure many of you have as well.  There are so many things in life to be thankful for. Well Mommy Me Time Scrapper and The Scrappy Kat are releasing Dive into Thanksgiving.  (Shh… I am posting this a day early, but it is already in the store and it is on sale for 50% off!)  It will help you scrap your Thanksgiving get-togethers, fall family fun, and photos of your little one dressed in their Pilgrim or Native American costumes.  Dive into Thanksgiving also coordinates with Dive into Fall (revisited) and Dive into Halloween to give to a mega variety of options.  The flyers are linked to the store.

Recently I have been Thankful for the safe birth of my second great niece, Serena.  When I was over visiting, Kailey was not interested in having her picture taken with anyone.  So I gave her a bracelet I was wearing, and was able to take this beautiful photo of my Niece and her two girls.  I love that it wasn’t staged.  I also created a cluster freebie for you.  You can download it by clicking on the preview below.

If you would like some more freebies that coordinate with Dive into Thanksgiving, you can find out where to find more over on the blogs of Mommy Me Time Scrapper <HERE>, and The Scrappy Kat <HERE>  Since I am posting this early, it may take them a day to post them on their blogs.
