Katie Creates has a new kit in her store called En la Playa. It reminds me of this past summer. Lots of surf and sand, and even some sandals! This kit will be on sale this week, so be sure to grab it before the prices go up.
I love the bright papers and elements against these darker (and older) pictures. It really does feel like a day at the beach.

One week left of summer vacation here and then it is back to school for the kids. As I type this I am over hearing both kids that can’t wait to get back, and some that are moaning that summer is almost done! Leaving a Legacy Designs has a new kit out called Hall Pass. Since I haven’t had any distractions, I have taken this time to sort through a lot of the “unseen” things that I own. You know the stuff that is in the basement, attic, or just the back of the closet. One thing I found was the suit my Grandmother wore on her wedding day. It still smells like her even though she has been gone for 14 years now. Smell is such a powerful sense. I was instantly brought back to her house. Seen her smile.

This has been quite the month. I think I have had a headache for most of it. (Literally and Figuratively!) Between the noise, and the lack of cable, phone and internet (and throw in some power outages) its been interesting. So right now, I am at a friends trying to bring myself back to the electronic world we live in. Needless to say I haven’t done much scrapbooking either, which is driving me crazy. I do however have a new kit to show you that I worked with, and even got a freebie for you as well.

Good Morning. (It must be morning somewhere!) I am still recovering from my Great Niece’s 1st Birthday. It was a beautiful day, and she had a blast. (Although she wasn’t sure when Grandma put her hands into her birthday cake. Until then she was using one finger to test it out!) I will be posting a few layouts from her party later this week.
